This weekend marks a special milestone for me as a blogger. In 2009 I began a series of collaborative posts entitled "HR 101." At the time it served as a way for me, then a relatively young (in experience) Human Resources Generalist, to learn from practitioners in their respective areas of expertise. It also allowed me to speak with and connect with those outside of the normal boundaries of HR.
Since 2009 this series has been viewed and downloaded by thousands, which is a humbling notion to me. I want to thank the readers for their part in the success of this project. In addition, I want to thank all those that contributed to this series. It was their generosity, intelligence, and patience that made this e-book meaningful. I'm honored to have partnered with you on this.
I believed then, and have become increasingly convinced of it now, that Human Resources has an obligation to push itself forward as a profession. The HR 101 series was my small attempt to provide that push. Hopefully I was able to help a few people be better at what they do. It certainly helped me.
