Put Up or Shut Up 2010

In December of 2009 I wrote a post entitled ‘Put Up or Shut Up!’ It was a way for other HR professionals and myself to publicly commit to change. Put another way, we wanted to tell the world what 3 things we were going to do to be a HR Rock Star in 2010.
Through numerous blog posts, comments, and conversations we revisited these goals throughout the past 10+ months. It’s been amazing to see what directions our professional and personal lives have gone. There’s been success and struggle for each of us. Now it’s time to recommit and also look for new inspiration. Put simply, I'm looking for PUSU submissions to cap off 2010 and set the agenda for next year.

It's been almost a year since the first post. So much has happened since then and I (as well as the readers) want to hear about it! In the interest of hearing all those great stories here's my proposal:
  • Instead of posting to my blog like last year we can do a carnival-style PUSU round of posts on your respective blogs. For non-bloggers who participated we can find a home for you!
  • For talking points I would like to focus on the following areas: where you started (e.g., your 1st PUSU post), where you are currently, and where you plan to be in 2011. It can be as brief or detailed as you like. If you need inspiration then just check out the posts that were published so far.

This is an open call-anyone who’s interested and serious can join in! If you want to be a part of this series then let me know by end of day on Monday, November 1st. You can either leave a comment in the post or e-mail me (iembracechaos@gmail.com). If you agree then I would like to have all submissions ready by November 19th. If all goes well then I would like to have posts published on your respective blogs on December 8th. This would be the 1 year anniversary of the 1st post and a good way to bridge the series.

Thanks for your time! Let me know what you think about my proposal. Even if you believe it stinks drop a line just to say, "hello!" It's been for too long since I've heard from some of you :-)

Now what am I going to commit to for 2011? Hmmm...
